About the hotel

Address Montgomerie is a small golf hotel in Emirates Hills, a quiet villa community in Dubai. Part of the Address Hotels + Resorts brand, it's built around the clubhouse of the Montgomerie Golf Club. This isn't a resort with dozens of restaurants — it's a boutique hotel with the feel of a private club.

The reason to stay here is the golf. The 18-hole course, spread across 265 acres of lakes and gardens, was designed by golfer Colin Montgomerie. Alongside it are the Troon Golf Academy, floodlit night practice facilities and a 9-hole academy course. Hotel guests get preferred green fees, and clubs and golf shoes can be rented on site. The golf club is open daily 6:00–24:00.

The hotel has 4 room types, all with a king bed and a balcony. The Deluxe Courtyard View and Premier Golf View rooms are both 44 sqm, and the difference is the view: an inner courtyard or the golf course. Couples visiting for the golf will prefer the Premier Golf View, which fits up to 3 adults, or 2 adults and a child up to age 11.

Families with a child will find more room in the suites. The Junior Suite is 72 sqm, with a bedroom, a sofa bed and a desk, fitting up to 3 adults and a child. The Montgomerie Suite is 112 sqm, with a living room, a dining table for 5 and 3 balconies facing the course. Under the brand's policy, infants up to age 4 sleep with their parents at no charge, and children up to age 12 stay in suites at no charge, within the room's capacity.

The pool sits on the Aquaviva deck, facing the 18th hole, with a separate kids' pool alongside and a lounge serving fresh juices. The hotel spa is on the lobby floor, with 6 treatment rooms for men and women, open 10:00–22:00. There's also a gym, and the golf club's locker room has a cold plunge pool and a steam room.

The hotel has one restaurant: Monty's, on the lower floor of the clubhouse. Built in a conservatory style with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the 18th hole and outdoor seating, it's named after Colin Montgomerie. It's open from 6:30 in the morning until 22:30. Anyone wanting a choice of restaurants will need to leave the hotel.

The downside: the hotel isn't on the sea or near Dubai's beach promenades. There's no beach, no kids' club, and only one restaurant. Anyone wanting the sea, malls or nightlife will need a taxi for every outing. It suits golfers first, or a couple looking for a few quiet nights away from the towers.
