Dining Experiences in Abu Dhabi

Dining experiences in Abu Dhabi turn a meal into part of the trip. On this page we have gathered two different options: an evening cruise with a buffet on a large yacht, and a private dinner for two on a desert dune. You can book either of them through us.

The cruise leaves Yas Marina on the Rose Royale, a 165-foot yacht, about 50 metres long. Boarding starts at 7:00 PM, the yacht sails at 7:30 PM and returns at 10:00 PM. During the cruise you pass along the Yas coastline and see Etihad Arena, the W Abu Dhabi hotel and Aldar's round headquarters building, lit up at night. Dinner is an international buffet. The basic package includes soft drinks, and there are also packages with unlimited alcoholic drinks and with priority boarding. An adult ticket is from age 11, and a child ticket is for ages 3–10.

The romantic desert dinner is a private experience for a couple. A private 4x4 picks you up and drives into the desert near Abu Dhabi, with a dune drive and a photo stop at sunset. On a high dune a private setting with candles is waiting, and there a barbecue dinner is served under the stars. Unlimited soft drinks, Arabic coffee, tea and dates are included, with quiet music, and you can also take a short camel ride and go sandboarding. There is shisha too. Alcoholic drinks can be bought on site.

How to choose? If you are looking for an evening with a view of Abu Dhabi from the sea, choose the cruise. A couple celebrating an anniversary, a birthday or a proposal will choose the desert dinner.

The cruise sets out in the evening, and in the cooler months, from November to March, it is especially pleasant to stand on the open deck. In winter the wind at sea is strong, so bring a jacket or scarf. The desert dinner starts around sunset, and is most pleasant in winter.
