About the hotel

Vida Creek Beach is a boutique hotel of the Vida chain in Dubai Creek Harbour, one of the city's new waterfront areas. The hotel is built around an artificial lagoon, and the official website presents it as a calm place that combines modern design with artistic touches, a view of the canal, small cafés and work facilities.

What sets it apart is the lagoon. It is open to hotel guests only, and beside it is an infinity pool with a view of the canal and Dubai Creek Harbour. It is important to know that this is not a sea beach: anyone looking for sand and waves will find an artificial lagoon here.

The rooms are 45-sqm Deluxe rooms with a balcony, in a king-bed or twin-bed version, with a skyline or lagoon view. Each takes 2 adults and one child under 12. A family with two children needs the Premier Room: 49 sqm, a king bed and a large balcony, for 2 adults and 2 children under 12. The rooms have fast Wi-Fi, a tea and coffee machine, a large TV, a minibar, a safe, an iron and a hairdryer.

There are four places to eat and drink in the hotel. Origins is an all-day restaurant with Mediterranean, Levantine and international cooking, and a bar. The Courtyard serves international food, drinks and shisha. Stage2 is a café for light meals, and it also houses the co-working space. Float Beach Lounge is the pool bar, with a view of the lagoon. There is also a gym that is open 24/7.

The hotel is about 15 minutes from DXB Airport and about 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai. The area has a 6-km cycling promenade, a sunset viewpoint and the Ras Al Khor nature reserve, famous for its pink flamingos. The hotel has no spa of its own, but the staff arrange transport to the nearby spa of Address Grand Creek Harbour.

The drawbacks: no sea beach and no spa in the hotel. A day pass to the pool is not currently available, and the lagoon is reserved for guests. The hotel does not accept pets. It suits couples and those combining work and leisure, and less those who want a sea beach or a spa inside the hotel.
