Play DXB is a park of virtual reality, rides and interactive games inside Dubai Mall. It spreads over two floors and 7,000 sqm, between KidZania and Reel Cinemas. If you are looking for a VR park in Dubai, or an indoor activity for children and teenagers at Dubai Mall, you will find action, horror, adventure and sports attractions here.

The park originally opened as VR Park, and today it operates as Play DXB. According to the official website, it was built around the idea of 'challenging reality', in partnership with leading virtual reality developers.

The most famous ride is Burj Drop. You put on a VR headset, step onto a window cleaner's platform, and feel it fall down the side of Burj Khalifa. On Dubai Drone you fly over the city in a drone taxi of the year 2050. On Stealth you pilot a fighter jet simulator yourself.

There are rides without headsets too. On Drifters you drive bumper cars that slide into a drift. On SpeedWay you race in a two-seater race car. On Flying Chairs you spin on a flying chair carousel. The games also include Dune Bash, a virtual off-road ride over the dunes, plus horror, adventure, leisure and sports titles.

Payment works on a Pay & Play system. You load a card with credit, and each ride costs a set number of credits. That way you pay only for the rides you actually want, and a family can share a single card. Arcade games are not included in the card.

Each ride has its own age and height guidelines. According to the official website, Burj Drop requires 110 cm with an adult or 120 cm alone, and Dubai Drone has a minimum height of 110 cm.

It suits teenagers, groups of friends and families with older children, and it is easy to combine with the aquarium, the ice rink or Burj Khalifa in the same mall.
