Al Marjan Island — Jet Ski
Four man-made islands with long beaches and resort hotels. The quickest way to see them: a guided jet ski ride.

Al Marjan Island is a group of four artificial islands off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, with long beaches and a row of resort hotels.
On the jet ski you head out with a guide for a loop in the open waters of the gulf, along the shores of the islands and hotels. No license needed: you get a safety briefing and gear, and the guide leads the way.
Suited to adults looking for some adrenaline on a beach vacation, and to anyone staying at one of the islands' hotels.
Tip: if you want to go further along the islands, ask for the 60-minute loop when booking.
Marjan means coral in Arabic, and the islands are indeed built in a coral shape. This is Ras Al Khaimah's first artificial archipelago: four connected islands, on about 2.7 sq km of land reclaimed from the sea. Along the islands there's about 7.8 km of sandy beach, and about 23 km of waterfront in total. International hotel chains operate resorts on the islands, and more hotels are under construction.
What the jet ski loop looks like: you arrive at the counter, show your ticket, and get a short briefing and explanation of how to ride. From there you head out with the guide from the island's shore into the gulf's open waters. You ride along the shores of the hotels, with views of the islands from the sea. The loop suits solo riders, couples, and friends.
Each of the four islands has its own name and character. Breeze Island is the entry gate, with more than 2,000 metres of waterfront, shops, and facilities on the water. Treasure Island is connected to it and is mainly residential, with a promenade along the coast. Dream Island has more than 5,000 metres of waterfront, with views of sunrise and sunset. View Island sits in the middle, with views of the beaches and the desert dunes. The whole archipelago stretches about 4.5 km into the sea.
The island is still developing. Alongside hotels already operating, hotels from chains like Nobu and JW Marriott are being built. The biggest project of all is the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort, whose opening date has been pushed to September 2027. Between the hotels there are landscaped promenades, running and cycling paths, parks and children's play areas, and you can get around on rented scooters and electric bikes.
Al Marjan Island is also known for its New Year's Eve fireworks show. Ras Al Khaimah's show stretches along about 6 km of coast, from Al Marjan to Al Hamra, and has set several Guinness World Records. On New Year's Eve 2026 the show ran for 15 minutes, and included a drone show that broke a world record.

When to go
The jet ski runs at set times through the day, roughly from 10:00 until 17:00. In summer the water and the air are very warm, so morning or late afternoon slots are better. On New Year's Eve the area is very busy because of the fireworks display.
Getting there
- From Ras Al Khaimah Airport it's about a 25-minute drive. From Dubai Airport it's about an hour on the highway.
- Transfer to the island isn't included in the ticket. Arrive by rental car or taxi.
- There's no metro or train to Ras Al Khaimah. Dubai's metro doesn't reach there.
- On the island itself you get around on foot along the promenade, or on rented scooters and electric bikes.
Good to know
- Participant ages: 17 to 55.
- Bring a swimsuit and towel.
- You need to choose a departure time in advance. The ticket is for a specific day and time, and can't be cancelled or refunded.
- Show your ticket on your phone at the counter before departure.
- Before riding there's a safety briefing and a short explanation of how to ride. No prior experience needed.
- Photos and videos aren't included. If you want to film yourself, ask us when booking whether riding with a phone is allowed.
