About the hotel

Lapita is a Polynesian resort of Marriott's Autograph Collection inside the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex — the only hotel sitting right among the parks. It opened in January 2017 with 504 rooms, suites and villas in Pacific-island architecture: timber roofs, lagoons, palms and a lazy river winding between the buildings. If you're coming to Dubai for LEGOLAND and MOTIONGATE, this is the hotel that saves the commuting.

Location is the story: Riverland — the complex's dining promenade — is a walk away, and with it LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND Water Park, MOTIONGATE and Real Madrid World. Important for timing: per a notice on the hotel's website, the theme parks are currently closed and reopen on 7.10.2026. The hotel itself operates as usual, and the pools and lazy river don't depend on the parks. Park entry is not automatically included with the stay — some packages add tickets.

The rooms are generously sized: Deluxe rooms are 44 sqm — very large for the category — with a balcony, mini fridge and espresso machine, in King (for a couple) or Twin versions with two double beds (up to 4). The Family Room is 74 sqm with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to 6 guests — a real solution for a family without splitting rooms. Above it, suites up to 152 sqm for eight, and at the top a 274-sqm villa with a garden and private plunge pool.

Children get a kids' club and the Tiki House, a lazy river and pools; parents get a spa and a pool bar. Six restaurants cover the day: KALEA (all-day buffet, newly renovated), HIKINA (Pan-Asian), poolside ARI with Polynesian pizza, the KAHUNA pizzeria, PALAMA in the lobby and Daily Scoop for ice cream. Riverland next door adds dozens more within walking distance.

The small convenience you feel in your pocket: both self-parking and valet are free for guests, and there are EV charging stations. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00. Pets are not allowed.

Who it suits less: anyone coming for the city itself will feel far away — the complex sits on the E11 highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the urban attractions require a drive. There is no beach. And until the parks reopen (7.10.2026), check what's open before booking around them.
