A 43-floor tower on the palm-shaped island, opened in 2023. The largest rooms among our Palm hotels, with daily entry to Aquaventure included.
Atlantis The Royal is a 43-floor tower on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah, a short distance from Atlantis, The Palm. It opened in February 2023, and is the newer, more luxury-focused sibling of the original Atlantis. The character here is quieter and more adult: less water-park bustle, more chef restaurants, rooftop pools and evening music.
What sets the hotel apart is the combination: large rooms and chef restaurants, while still keeping the full connection to the Atlantis world. According to the hotel's website, every room type includes daily entry to Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost World aquarium, with no advance booking needed. In the evening, in front of the hotel, the Skyblaze fountain runs shows of water, fire and light between 19:00 and midnight.
The basic room here is large: 55–60 sqm, with a Palm view (Palmscape) or a sea view (Seascape). A King room, for up to 2 adults, suits a couple. A Queen room of the same size suits up to 3 adults and a child. A larger family can get a Family Room of 110–120 sqm, for up to 5 adults and a child, or a Two Bedroom Sky Terrace Suite of 172–190 sqm. 44 suites and penthouses have a private pool.
Kids have the Atlantis Explorers Club for ages 4–12, with unlimited sessions for hotel guests, Little Explorers for ages 0–3, and a Teens Lounge for ages 13–17. The Royal Pool and the private beach are open to all guests. The Nobu by the Beach pool is for ages 21 and up, and entry is free for hotel guests. The AWAKEN Spa has a hammam, charcoal sauna, salt cave and vitality pool, and after 14:00 it's adults-only.
The restaurants are a central part of the hotel: CARBONE Dubai, Estiatorio Milos, Ariana's Persian Kitchen and Nobu by the Beach, alongside the Gastronomy food hall and The Royal Tearoom. Note: in April 2026 four venues were temporarily suspended — La Mar, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Cloud 22 and Ling Ling — and it hasn't been announced when they'll reopen. According to the hotel's website, all restaurants welcome families until 20:30. After that, children under 10 can only eat at Gastronomy, Malibu 90265 and The Royal Tearoom.
The downside is the location, as with any hotel at the tip of the Palm: every trip into the city means travel. From DXB airport it's 40–60 minutes by taxi. You reach the water park on the hotel's buggy, and Atlantis, The Palm by shuttle. A family with young children mainly after a water park and beach may find Atlantis, The Palm more convenient, since it's right next to the park. The Royal suits couples and families looking for a large room and great restaurants better.
